3 Foods That Hate Skin!

The most detrimental foods for your skin! Keep on reading!

Here’s one of the worst:

Dairy:

  • Milk
  • Milk Chocolate
  • Cheese
  • Butter
  • Ice Cream
  • Most Yogurts

I mean… the list could go on and on for dairy. It’s in ranch dressing, mayo, all kinds of stuff. But what’s so bad about it? I’ll tell ya! Milk causes inflammation and it contains hormones. Even if you purchase a “hormone free” milk, it most likely still has some because it’s a natural property. Cows produce the hormones and steroids to help the baby cow grow. So trying to remove all of that is pretty much impossible! Because these hormones were created for a baby cow and not a human, they really can affect your skin and how much acne you may be struggling with!

Sugar:

  • Candy
  • Sauces
  • Peanut Butter
  • Drinks

Some of these listed can be purchased without sugar. But it’s just something to think about… Sugar controls blood sugar (who knew)?! With the rise in blood sugar, the body also produces more sebum and androgen – like testosterone – which can lead to clogged pores and breakouts!

Processed/ Fried Food:

  • Hot dogs
  • Burgers
  • Chicken Nuggets
  • French Fries
  • Corn dogs

There are a ton of processed and fried foods! Well, this is America after all! The bad thing about them are all the bad oils they’re cooked in. There are saturated (bad) and unsaturated (good) oils. Your skin will not like saturated oils! Also, many processed foods contain sugars – like high fructose corn syrup! The thing with processed or over cooked meats is AGE’s (Advanced glycation end-product) that break down collagen and only make you age faster! I mean look at what AGE spells out; age! Meats contain hormones (even if they claim not to) and that can have the same effects as dairy!

Fried foods are similar when it comes to heat! They’re cooked at such a high temperature that it oxidizes the oils which can lead to oxidative damage. Oxidative damage can affect our genes and cause radical damage.

It’s crazy how the foods we eat without thinking can affect us so much! Everything in moderation right? Laying low on these foods can really be a benefit to your skin! (Mhm!)
